What is text-to-bet?

Text-to-bet is a new category of sports betting tool: you describe a bet in plain English and the app builds a real, ready-to-place parlay with live odds and per-leg reasoning. Here's how it works.

WizBets is an iOS app that turns natural-language betting queries into live parlays with real odds and AI-generated explanations.

The category, explained

For 20 years, the standard way to place a sports bet on your phone has been the same: open a sportsbook app, scroll through sports, scroll through games, scroll through markets, tap individual outcomes, repeat for every leg, and hope you didn't miss a better line. Text-to-bet flips the input. Instead of menus, you type. Instead of taps, you describe.

A text-to-bet tool takes a free-form sentence — “3-leg NHL parlay tonight”, “Lebron over 24.5 points with 7+ assists”, “safe MLB under +400” — and parses it into structured legs. It then matches each leg to a live sportsbook market and assembles the parlay.

How it actually works

  1. Parse. A fine-tuned language model converts the sentence into structured fields: sport, player or team, market type, line, and target odds.
  2. Match. The structured legs are queried against a database of live sportsbook markets. WizBets uses real-time data, nothing is delayed or aggregated through a third party.
  3. Rank. When a query is ambiguous (“safe NHL parlay”), the tool ranks candidate combinations on probability and combined value.
  4. Explain. A second model writes a one-sentence rationale per leg using verified stats. The model is forbidden from inventing numbers; every stat must exist in the source data.
  5. Place. The user reviews the assembled parlay and taps to deep-link into the sportsbook of choice, pre-filling the betslip.

Why it matters

Most of the friction in mobile betting is navigation, not analysis. Removing the navigation step does two things: it lowers the cost of having a bet idea, and it surfaces parlays the bettor would never have built by hand because the discovery cost was too high. Text-to-bet doesn't make worse bets faster — it makes the same bets a sharp bettor would make, but in seconds instead of minutes.

What text-to-bet is not

  • It's not a tipster service. You bring the idea; the tool constructs it.
  • It's not a sportsbook. WizBets does not accept wagers.
  • It's not magic. Bad input still produces bad bets — the tool just builds them faster.
